PARENT / STUDENT INFORMATION MEETING

RECOMMENDED FOR NEW FAMILIES…We answer common questions…Find out how your child can get involved in Riverside Youth Theatre. Registration for fall classes for NEW students are taken at the end of the meeting.  We will be answering your questions about our upcoming auditions too!  Registration for returning students will be taken at the beginning of the meeting.

MASTER CLASSES
Classes with professionals providing feedback in the areas of voice and acting.          
Vocal Master Class  January 2010 TBA  You will observe 4 elementary and teen students receive feedback from a professional voice teacher.                                       Acting Seminar  January 2010 TBA  A day long seminar to improve your acting skills.  Taught by a professional actor.                                                                                   Acting for the Camera  January 2010 TBA  If you ever have the opportunity to do commercials, television or movies, know how to adapt your theatre acting skills for these mediums.

THEATRE SEMINARS (These are free!)
Preparing for Musical Theatre Auditions!  TBA  Discover what directors are looking for in auditions…How to prepare…What are the expectations…What to avoid…The negative things that are said in auditions…Come prepared to hear honest answers to your questions.  Open to Parents and Students.

Make-Up Application for the Stage TBA You are required to bring your own theatre make-up kit to this seminar to participate.  See the Theatre Resources page of the website for a list of what is needed for a theatre make-up kit.  Please label your kit and contents.

CLASS REGISTRATION                                                                                               Registration for new students happens at the end of Parent/Student Information Meeting. First come, first served for class sign-ups. There is paperwork (application & emergency medical form) to complete and is due by the beginning of the first class. Please don’t forget to bring them at the first class or cannot allow your child to participate in the class! We do not accept pre-registrations for new students.

Late Registrations
Applications for the Spring Session will be accepted after the Parent/Student Information Meeting. First come, first served. No new students will be accepted for the Spring Session after January 23.

Returning Students
Save your space in RYT’s Spring Session, especially our limited voice classes, register at 7:00 pm at the start of the Parent Information Meeting on Thursday, January 7.  Be prepared to pay for registration that day.

Spring Registration Fees
1. $110 for 11 weeks of classes.
The entire fee is due at registration on Thursday, January 7.
2. If you pay for the entire Spring session with one check, you receive a $10 discount. Your other option is to pay with three checks (Jan $20, Feb $40, Mar $50) due on January 7, but no discount will apply. We will deposit the monthly checks the first week of each month.  You are responsible for the entire registration fee for the session at registration.
3.
No refunds are issued for classes missed or if you quit halfway through the session.  No refunds are issued after January 23 if you decide to drop your class.
4. If you take a voice and a dance class during the session, registration would be $110 (voice) + $110 (dance) = $220.
5. Classes are optional and are not a requirement to participate in our musicals. They will help your child improve in their theatre skills.
THEATRE FOR PRESCHOOLERS (Pre First Graders)
Riverside Youth Theatre’s musicals are geared for children that are currently in 1st grade and above. We only hold a preschool class in the fall session.
